“Highly recommended. Absolutely excellent food for a reasonable price served professionally by a friendly staff in a warm atmosphere. Some two years ago, the food was also excellent but the service and atmosphere were rather cold with the same staff, so I applaud this amazing turn around, well done.”
“Homely and welcoming. Very comfy rooms and quality restaurant as witnessed by the local residents who filled the place during our visit. Restaurant staff and owner were superb. The hotel is about 2 hours south of Calais. The town itself has a wonderful variety of shops. We will return and stay for 3 nights to fully appreciate the hotel and town.”
“We have been visiting for over 15 years now when we travel in France and are heading home and as ever this year we had a great stop over. It’s always been a comfortable environment to enjoy our last night with the guarantee of an excellent meal in the restaurant, especially the cheese board ! Whilst under previous command, the hotel was like stepping back into a traditional Logis environment and proper silver service in the restaurant, which made it a little less relaxing than it is today. As such it’s lovely to see what the new manager, Anthony, has done to modernise the hotel, the rooms as well as it’s image and service in the restaurant. The restaurant seems always popular with the locals and visitors which is testament to the quality dining experience, with a variety of set menus ranging from €21 to €40 as well as an A La Carte option. The extensive wine list provides a great array of choice from all the main French wine regions. Well done and looking forward to returning next year!”
“We had a beautiful meal here. The starter was an amazing work of art. This was the fifth time we visited and we have always had a fantastic time. The customer service was not so good this visit. Taken to the table and left for 10 minutes with no menu. My friend asked for a vegetarian meal, it was not nice and when she complained nothing was said...just taken away and she had to pay for it. Our food was very nice but very small portions. We were really looking forward to our meal but the unenthusiastic welcome and service spoilt it somewhat. It might have been an off day though...Will hope next time is better.”
